FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Learn more about GolderCare below.

  • Is GolderCare a nursing facility? No. We are in no way a nursing home or care facility at any capacity. While we are in the elder care industry and have relationships with local facilities, we may be able to help you with placement if needed, but we do not provide care.
  • Is GolderCare a law office? No. GolderCare does not practice law, though we do have legal resources we can refer a client to if, and when, it is needed. Founder and CEO, Jamie Long, practiced elder law for 35 years before transitioning and focusing his efforts on the GolderCare initiatives. We can provide you expert legal coaching when deemed fit, but we are not a law office and true legal services is not one of our offerings.
  • Do You Charge for Your Consultation? We offer a free consultation to anyone in need of long-term care assistance. GolderCare Solutions will continue to offer prospective clients and families a free courtesy phone call or in-person meeting at our office to help determine if you would benefit from a formal consultation with our team and what services are most appropriate for you. We are here to help and even if a client relationship is not established, we will still do everything we can to help you understand the next steps moving forward. Contact our office at (309) 764-2273 if you would like to schedule a consultation.
  • Is GolderCare connected with the government or private vendors? No. What sets us apart is our ability to work totally independent from private vendors or the government, allowing customized patient advocacy for you and your family.
  • Who else offers what GolderCare can offer? Quite frankly, no one. There are no other organizations who are able to provide the advanced expertise and experience that we offer. Comprehensive patient advocacy is our goal with all of our clients, and we are here to help you with anything related to long-term care planning. Whether that is helping with asset optimization, Medicaid applications, medical care, and much more. Working with individuals on a personalized level of care and assistance is what sets GolderCare apart from anyone else.
  • Can GolderCare file your Medicaid application? Yes! We have vast experience working with Medicaid applications and have a firm understanding of how to make sure we avoid any pitfalls when applying. Our team will not only assist you in filling out the application correctly, but we also know when the time is to submit! While a nursing home may offer Medicaid application assistance, they simply cannot provide the specialized assistance and care for you.
  • What do we mean by patient advocacy? GolderCare Solutions was founded with the goal of being the first company to offer true comprehensive patient advocacy. When we say we “bridge the gaps” in managing long-term care for our clients, we do it by helping you at whatever step you are and working to ensure your LTC goals and needs are met. We believe that patient advocacy is offering multi-specialty expertise, coordination, follow-up in a professionally independent approach. No one else offers a comprehensive service for your LTC needs as we are able to provide you.
  • What can GolderCare do for me? At GolderCare, our primary objective is to provide comprehensive patient advocacy from an individual and personalized approach. We are here to bridge the gaps in your long-term care and help you with every step along the way, including how to pay. Please refer to the ‘Services’ and ‘How We Help’ pages on our website to view the comprehensive assistance that we offer.
  • What else can you tell me about GolderCare? A review we hear far too often is "I wish I would have known about GolderCare sooner!" Long-term care planning and aging are not easy subjects to handle alone, and we are here to ease the process and bridge the gaps for you or a loved one. Our primary source of traffic comes from word of mouth and stems from our team’s advanced experience in elder care and long-term planning. As we try to grow and be more visible in the community, we do hear patients of ours marvel at what we can offer, and their only regret is not finding us sooner. We look forward to the opportunity to earn your trust and assist you in your own personal situation.
